I do a lot of custom work
based on the sold items in the gallery. If you'd like to
acquire something similar to a hat or bonnet you've seen on
these pages or if you have a photo of an original you'd like

I've also provided
reproduction headwear for customers from the Georgian,
Regency and Elizabethan periods. The time periods available
aren't limited by what you see on the site. Please inquire.
For custom work, I require
a non-refundable 50% deposit in advance of beginning work.
Your order will be placed on the schedule in the order in
which the deposit is received. The balance, plus shipping and insurance. is due prior to
shipping. We will agree in advance the style, color, etc.
Generally, my customers prefer to just let my Muse decide on
the decoration. You may provide photos or illustrations of
what you have in mind and we'll discuss the price and
delivery time before getting started. Exact replicas, even
of bonnets I've made, can't be guaranteed as materials
available may not be precisely the same. I'll get as close
as possible within your budget and the constraints of what I
am able to obtain for the project.
If you request it, I'll provide you with
e-photos of your project at critical stages of development
so changes can be made if I've made any misinterpretation of
your wishes. Get back to me as soon as you receive them so
we can change course, if necessary. If your request is,
"Make it just like the one on your site," I'll provide
photos when your project is complete or if I am forced to

Some items will take longer than anticipated. If you
require your item for a specific event, please let me know

If you see something on the
site that strikes your fancy and it hasn't been sold, you
may purchase that item. I accept Paypal, US money orders
and personal checks drawn on US Banks. International buyers
must use Paypal.
For domestic purchases of
small hats, bonnets or other items over $25, I ship via Priority
Mail. Large hats and bonnets will incur higher
shipping costs if they do not fit the standard 12x12x8
Priority box. Other items will be shipped via parcel post, first
class mail (dependent on weight) or you may request
Priority, if you prefer. You are responsible for shipping
and insurance costs.
International orders will
be shipped via Priority International Mail unless you
request a different shipper.
As stated above, custom
work is not returnable.
For ready-made items, these
may be returned within 3 days of your receipt of the item
provided you advise me immediately of your decision, you
haven't worn the item and it hasn't been damaged in any
way. Items must be insured if over $50 and must be returned
via a trackable method i.e., Priority Mail, UPS, etc. You
are responsible for all shipping and insurance costs.
