1906 "Grace" is fashioned using the same pattern as "La Violette." The wired black straw body is draped with black
silk gauze and decorated with vintage satin striped silk bows,
handmade silk roses and a vintage Edwardian compound ostrich
plume. The underbrim is faced with vintage cotton lace.
Grace is suitable for the society matron and cooler weather and
can be worn a little farther forward, if desired. The
roses are pinned in place and can be easily changed for a more
somber occasion. One vintage glass button hat pin is

1870's Goldye", a deep green silk velvet fanchon-style
hat, is based on an original. The base is blocked and wired
buckram. It features self-fabric and vintage netting trim.
The crown is lined with black cotton. The burgundy bonnet
below shows the same shape worn farther back on the head.(

| "Isabella" is a post-war fanchon
style demi bonnet based on an original in my collection,
suitable for reconstruction period impressions c.1865-68.
The wire and net form is covered in light gold silk taffeta with
a silk ribbon rosette gracing the back of the crown. The
ties are self-fabric edged with vintage lace and are pinned
together behind the composed bow. The under-brim is filled
with a double layer of gathered and puffed silk tulle. A narrow
round elastic attached at the tips of the brim runs under the
chignon to help keep the bonnet in place. As shown, $155. Please
